Why Choose the School of Professional and Continuing Studies?
Academic Programs Designed in Response to the Needs of Professionals in Their Fields
The School of Professional and Continuing Studies (SPCS) offers innovative undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates programs as well as professional development programs that keep pace with todays leading industries. These programs range from graduate degree programs designed to prepare professionals for executive-level positions to undergraduate degree-completion programs to professional certifications.Courses that Offer Flexibility and Convenience
SPCS students can tailor a program to meet their individual educational objectives. Our programs are offered in a variety of convenient formats. All of our undergraduate and graduate programs are built around a quarter system in which courses are offered in six-, eight-, and twelve-week terms. These shorter terms allow students to accelerate completion of their program while also taking short periods off when necessary for family or work. Most of our degree programs allow students to finish in less than two years, and many are scheduled to allow students to take one course at a time.A Faculty of Scholars and Industry Leaders
The SPCS faculty includes distinguished researchers and industry leaders who have exceptional academic credentials and impressive public- and private- sector resumes. They frequently provide connections to colleagues, businesses, resources, and mentors that can define a student's career path. Faculty researchers and their student collaborators have access to state-of-the-art research facilities, both on campus and in greater Boston. And our adjunct faculty are industry leaders who have the expertise and experience of applying knowledge to the issues of their profession. Our Campus: Boston, the Suburbs and Online
