Opening the Door to a Career in the O.R.
Northeastern University's nationally recognized Perioperative Nursing Certificate Program is continuing education course designed to give registered nurses extended knowledge of the theoretical components of perioperative nursing coupled with extensive hands-on clinical experience.

For non-sponsored nurses, this program serves as an opportunity to break into the perioperative nursing specialty and as a potential job match between the registered nurse and prospective employer.

12-Week Program - Boston Campus
The traditional 12-week program consists of didactic one evening/week and lab experience 2 evenings/3 weeks, mid-program, to reinforce theory content in the perioperative setting.

The content for the program is rooted in the standards of practice established by the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). CEUs are awarded upon successful completion of the program.
