Two-Dimensional Design and Color

Description Introduces fundamental elements of two-dimensional design, including color and typography, in order to explore the concept of pictorial order. Examines principles of organization and formal elements of two-dimensional design. Offers students the opportunity to explore the objective nature and expressive possibilities of color in topics such as line, shade, contrast, simultaneous contrast, color harmony, symbolic color, positive and negative space, hue, saturation, and value.
