Florence Sketchbook

ART 1027 3 Quarter Hours
Course Level Undergraduate
Description Offers students an opportunity to gather research in the traditional form of sketching from the works in the museums, streets, and environments of Florence as artists have done for centuries. This includes working from sculptures, paintings, architecture, formal gardens, as well as to research individual areas of interest. Encourages students to write notations and observations and to research their area of interest. Offers students an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of the original works by studying them in situ, to create professional sketchbooks that can be used as source material for future projects, and to learn drawing and painting skills in a refreshing way.

Students should refer to the CPS Prerequisite Table for course prerequisite and corequisite information.
