Art and Architecture of Cambridge

ART 1080 3 Quarter Hours
Course Level Undergraduate
Description Explores Cambridge’s glorious buildings, outside and in, with an emphasis on architecture. The architectural heritage of Cambridge is as much a part of the city’s character as its contribution to education. There is a magnificent range of building types from ancient to modern, with everything in between. The art contained within these buildings is equally impressive. Includes field trips to the soaring arches of Kings College Chapel and its portraits; the Fitzwilliam Museum, with its Constable and Turner masterpieces; and the domestic, smaller-scale buildings of the people of Cambridgeshire.

Students should refer to the CPS Prerequisite Table for course prerequisite and corequisite information.
