Landscape Painting

ART 6501 4 Quarter Hours
Course Level CPS - Graduate
Description Designed for intermediate and beginning painters. Explores landscapes, urbanscapes, and seascapes. Participants use acrylic, water mixable, and traditional oil paints. Includes daily critiques, demonstrations, and discussions. Local history is a daily topic. Discusses “art vocabulary” that is useful in the classroom when assessing student art, including the use of an art rubric and the connection to the Massachusetts Art Frameworks. Further development of drawing and seeing skills is ongoing, as is the study of color and composition.
