Narrative Ceramic Boxes

Description Offers students an opportunity to develop a facility in a variety of hand-building techniques using the box form. In connecting to the 10,000-year heritage of making pots based on containers, students study and apply forming and finishing techniques and develop a critical vocabulary and way of thinking about ceramic forms. Features daily demonstrations of hand-building techniques. Explores the full range of possibilities in creating functional, decorative, and narrative boxes.
