Zoology for the Elementary Classroom

Description Focuses on the use of practical zoology in the elementary classroom. Offers students an opportunity to classify classroom-compatible organisms including snails, earthworms, red worms, butterflies, mealworms, crayfish, crickets, beetles, praying mantises, and spiders and to explore their structures, needs, life cycles, habitats, adaptations, behaviors, and heredity. A culminating project is to design a zoo habitat for a selected organism and construct a model of that habitat.
