Description Explores fundamental chemistry concepts, such as symbols, formulas, equations, atomic weights, reactions, solubility, and net ionic equations. Uses examples and problems to develop these concepts. Laboratory work covers safety and data representation and recording techniques, boiling point and melting point determinations, density measurement, determination of an empirical formula, a study of electrolytes, and the kinetics of chemical reactions.
