Description Presents the historical basis of the security management function and the development of the field in general and its various specialties. Provides a comprehensive examination of the legal environment and issues impacting security operations and management. Analyzes elements of criminal, civil, property, regulatory, and business law from the perspective of organizational security management concerns. Explores the manager’s responsibility for organizational security and risk-management methods. Examines concepts of organization, administration, and management of security, including the systems approach to security operations. Focuses on planning, organizing, staffing, directing, budgeting, controlling, representing, and innovating.
