Course Level CPS - Undergraduate Quarter
Description Designed for advanced adult learners in the field of education who wish to explore ways of strengthening their literacy skills. Offers students an opportunity to identify individual strengths and challenges, reading and learning interests, as well as personal and professional goals. Through a readers’/writers’ workshop model of learning, students work both independently and collaboratively toward meeting their individual goals. Explores the processes of reading to understand the different components involved with print skill, vocabulary, comprehension, and motivation. Identifies and applies a variety of strategies to support and enhance individual reading processes.
