Description Offers students of information systems technology an opportunity to acquire the background, knowledge, and skills necessary to begin using the basic facilities of a mainframe computer. Topics covered include the mainframe in business today, including mainframe job roles; mainframe interfaces; Job Control Language; mainframe hardware and architecture; and middleware for the mainframe. Includes lectures and lab exercises.
