Advertising Basics and Practice

Description Studies the evolution of advertising, including social, economic, and legal aspects. Offers students an opportunity to learn how advertising agencies and departments function and how advertising fits into the marketing mix. Examines the basic steps of research and the relationship between the business management team and the creative team from an agency or an in-house advertising department. Topics include media planning and selection, audience research, budgets, execution, and postcampaign analysis.
