Practicum in Instructional Technology

ED3641 / 4 q.h.

This field-based practicum provides supervised practice in two levels of school--elementary, middle, and/or high-school. Students will be assigned clear instructional responsibilities and will keep the schedule of a regular full-time classroom teacher. They will collaborate with their supervising practitioner as well as other professionals to infuse technology into instruction and practice. They will work with the administrators at the schools to create and deliver a professional development workshop in instructional technology for their peers. They will also be exposed to many other aspects of the working school, including but not limited to: guidance, IEPs, budgeting, long-term planning, and technology infrastructure. At the end of this course, students will have completed a professional portfolio on their own Web site for viewing by potential employers.

This course is not offered at this time. Please check back after January 26, 2009.
