Principles of Curriculum Development

Students in this course will explore effective models of curriculum design used in a variety of school districts around the country. They will also explore Understanding by Design principles and discuss its implication for its use in re-designing curriculum materials. Students will re-design a curriculum-based activity following these principles and integrate commonly available low- to high-technology supports to develop greater understanding and impact student achievement.

This course is not offered during the fall term. Winter registration opens October 6, 2008.
