The Power of Literature for Children and Youth – Bringing Nonfiction to Life

This course will provide opportunity for teachers to discover and examine this burgeoning field of expository literature, so often ignored in schools except through text books. Teachers will learn how to use trade nonfiction to supplement and enhance teaching in the disciplines and how to captivate those elusive, reluctant readers.
