Introduction to Computer Organization

ETC4314 / 3 q.h.

Introduces the student to the basic structure and organization of digital computers. Examines the functional characteristics of major computer components and their relationship to control by software. Topics include general computer organization, number systems and number representations, design characteristics of major computer units, and simple Boolean algebra applications as they apply to computer systems.
