New Digital Technologies to Improve Teaching and Learning

IT3603 / 2 q.h.

Students will investigate the use of recently developed and new technologies to improve teaching and learning. They will research effective strategies and report their findings. Students will also identify barriers to students’ learning using school-based case studies. They will recommend strategies involving the use of digital technologies to address these barriers. Some of the technologies covered will be pod casting, mp3 players, interactive whiteboards, speech to text, and using video conferencing such as iChat.

This course is not offered during the fall term. Winter registration opens October 6, 2008.
