Introduction to American Government

POL4104 / 3 q.h.

An understanding of American government is essential to anyone who would be part of this society. This course focuses on the origins and basic principles of the U.S. Federal Government. The course emphasizes the structure, powers, and limitations of the federal government and the role of political parties and interest groups. Students examine the development of federalism and the separation of powers.
