CMN 6045 3 Quarter Hours
Course Level CPS - Graduate
Description Focuses on the initial stages of social media initiatives: strategy identification, assessment, and governance considerations. Offers students an opportunity to learn the importance of establishing goals and objectives to guide subsequent development and implementation efforts, how to evaluate the potential for digital technologies to enable the pursuit of those goals and objectives, and how to conduct a comparative assessment of current and potential tools and practices to identify the most efficient and effective approaches. Also offers an opportunity to develop an appreciation for the governance issues that have to be considered once a commitment to leveraging new technologies has been made.

Students should refer to the CPS Prerequisite Table for course prerequisite and corequisite information.
