Northeastern University provides two programs to prepare teaching assistants in meeting their classroom duties successfully.

The longest established program is the International Teaching Assistants Orientation. This is for all international teaching assistants or research assistants, whose first language is not English. This program is required.  It meets Monday, September 1^st, 2008, and runs through Friday, September 5^st, 2008.  Most of the daily sessions operate from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please see the above link so that you can examine in more detail the schedule and activities for that week.

The University also runs a University-Wide Teaching Assistants Program for all new teaching assistants. This is a required program . It meets in the afternoons on Wednesday, September 3^rd and Thursday, September 4^th. The sessions run from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Please see the above link so that you can examine in more detail the schedule and activities for those two days.
