Fred LopezGuido Wilfred Lopez is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering Technology program. His research interests include thermofluids, conventional and alternative energy conversion and conservation, testing and evaluation of materials, as well as mechanics, instrumentation, design of experiments, statistical analysis, CAD, and manufacturing processes. Dr. Lopez was a panel reviewer for the NASA Aeronautics Mission Directorate, the Department of Defense National Defense Science Engineering Grad Fellowship, the U.S. Air Force Summer Fellowship Program, and the National Science Foundation Division of Undergraduate Education. He received the 2009 Best Paper Award from the ASEE Division of Experimentation and Laboratory Studies.

Previously, Dr. Lopez served on the faculty of Old Dominion University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Daniel Webster College, and National Polytechnic School. He also worked as a technical consultant for Marotta Controls, Inc.
