Julie Baker

Julie Baker is an Associate Teaching Professor and lead faculty member in the undergraduate English program. She specializes in design and delivery of courses that prepare students to meet industry’s organizational, technical, and creative communication challenges. Her research interests include academic integrity in virtual learning environments and academic writing in English for non-native speakers.

Ms. Baker is an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators, Association of Writers and Writing Programs, Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and serves on the Achievement Awards in Writing national advisory committee for the National Council of Teachers of English.

An award-winning author of young adult nonfiction, Ms. Baker previously instructed at Southern New Hampshire University, where she served on the Editorial Board of Directors for Amoskeag national literary journal and as interim director of the Undergraduate Creative Writing Program.
