This six-course program is designed to introduce and prepare students for the actuarial profession, as well as to provide financial services professionals with advanced financial mathematics competencies. The Graduate Certificate in Actuarial and Financial Mathematics prepares participants for the VEE actuarial exams. Courses include an introduction to the theory of interest and financial instruments, actuarial methods, and other topics of relevance to modern finance, including the basics of econometrics and time series analysis, no-arbitrage investment theory, and an introduction to financial instruments. Courses from this certificate may be applied toward the Master of Science in Leadership.
