Master of Education:
Special Education Specialization
Overview
The Special Education concentration meets the Massachusetts Department of Education standards and competencies for licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities, Pre-K-8 and 512. Specialized topics in modifying curriculum, designing curriculum-based assessments, managing severe behaviors, IEP development, community resources and literacy extend a teachers ability to meet the needs of a diverse student population and enable them to demonstrate the competencies for this license.
