Dear Student,
Welcome to Northeastern University’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies. Congratulations on your acceptance to the Bridge to Teaching Program offered through the Institute for Professional Development and Graduate Studies in Education. We are glad that you chose Northeastern for your career development.
You are expected to attend a very important Orientation session, designed for new students entering the Bridge to Teaching Program. The orientation will be held on:
WINTER QUARTER - TBA
Here is what you can expect to happen at the Orientation:
· Meet and Greet – This is an opportunity to meet faculty, staff, and other students participating in this program
· Program Overview – You will become acquainted with the Bridge to Teaching program and learn more about program expectations
· Transfer Evaluation – You will have an opportunity to review your academic history and plan your academic program
· Advisors – The advising staff will be on hand to answer more detailed questions about the graduation and licensure requirements
· Financial Aid – A Financial aid advisor will be available to talk about FASFA and the Paraprofessional Teacher Preparation Grant.
· Tours – The University Admissions office will take you on a tour of the campus, if you wish
· Husky Card – Bring a valid I.D., with social security number. You will have an opportunity to get your NU Husky I.D. card.
This day is designed to help you get answers to questions before you start the program in September. We look forward to meeting you at the Orientation session.
