Weapons of Mass Destruction Response Awareness
Course Code: EMS 5197

This course, offered in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Justice Center for Domestic Preparedness, is designed to provide first responders, public safety, and emergency management personnel with awareness-level knowledge about the response to a terrorist incident involving weapons of mass destruction. This course will cover the following topics: the current terrorist threat; chemical, biological, and radiological materials and agents; improvised explosive devices; and responder actions. Upon successful completion of the program, all agency-affiliated participants will be eligible for certification through the U.S. Department of Justice in Weapons of Mass Destruction Response Awareness.
