Course Code: PDP 5113

Change remains the only constant in business today. For organizations to stay viable, they must continually transform themselves, and their employees must be willing to change direction at warp speed. This seminar creates a framework and strategy for dealing with change and transition. Through case study analysis, group discussion, and individual and group exercises, participants will learn how to deal with change and transition ongoing.

Who Should Attend
Managers, project, and team leaders who implement various changes in their organization, and others who wish to enhance their current change management skills.

What You Will Learn
• Recognize the difference between change and transition
• Explore the impact of change and transition on the individual and the organization
• Determine why change efforts often fail and ways to make those efforts succeed
• Recognize the symptoms of resistance to change and learn ways to overcome that resistance
• Identify each stage of transition and learn how to help people navigate each stage
• Learn how to take care of yourself while managing the process of change
• Discover how to sustain the change effort; identify ways to engage people in the process
• Build a model case for change: assess your organization’s capacity to change, determine the best methods to communicate the need for change, and decide how to best implement it
