It has been said that managers are deployed while leaders deploy themselves. Managerial leaders are also confident decision-makers, and good decision-makers can be a company’s competitive advantage. In today’s environment, there is a worldwide need for corporate leadership in every industry who can build organizations that are fast, flexible, healthy, ethical, and responsive.

This program is uniquely designed to help leaders to be get ready for their new challenges and responsibilities. You will discover the heart, soul, and mind of true leadership. You’ll learn what people expect from and respect in leaders. You’ll explore leadership roles as strategist, change agent, coach, manager, communicator, mentor, and team member. And you will learn how to develop your unique leadership style for maximum impact.

Northeastern University’s Leadership Certificate is an intensive and practical evening program offered over 12 weeks (3-hour evening sessions). Discover why true leadership involves inspiring others to tread new territory with you to optimize your company’s performance and why you must be an instrument of innovation and change. Here is your opportunity to learn how to identify and manage your leadership challenges through practical and proven-in-action techniques, in-class exercises that allow you to try out new ideas, and shared insights with your seminar leaders and peers.

You will evaluate and strengthen your current leadership practices and learn to adapt to the challenges of modern business leadership. You will learn to approach leadership as a collaborative process between leaders, their employees, and others in the organization. The class format is highly interactive requiring a high level of participants’ involvement. Through individual assessment and feedback, minilectures, class discussion, experiential exercises, coaching, peer interaction, and a team project, the Leadership Certificate program cuts deeply into the most compelling questions of leadership and creates a clear pathway of action for applying learning toward effective, engaging leadership.
