Essentials of Project Management
Course Code: PDP 5128


In this course you will learn a broad overview of the concepts and practices used in managing projects. You will work in a hands-on environment with the five process areas, the nine knowledge areas and the 39 processes detailed in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®). Through the use of practical exercises, class discussions, and lectures, you will have the opportunity to apply these best practices in a classroom environment. You will be presented with project management tools and skills that can be utilized immediately back on the job.

Who Should Attend
Anyone with in an interest in improving the success of their project management efforts. Also, those who have been performing project management yet have not had the opportunity to learn the theory and reality of successful project management techniques. Participants taking this course should not take the Managing IT Projects course.
