This workshop will provide a comprehensive description of the necessary knowledge and procedures to identify, analyze, respond to, and manage risks on your project. Students will produce the major components of a risk response plan. Students work in small groups on a case study to learn the process of producing key risk deliverables.

Who Should Attend
Project managers will benefit from improved project performance resulting from better risk management. Technical contributors will benefit from a greater understanding of their role in risk management.

What You Will Learn
• Understand how project risk differs from other types of risk
• Identify risks for a project
• Learn the categories of risk common to every project
• Perform qualitative risk analysis and present the result to management
• Develop risk responses using four standard techniques
• Monitor and control risk during project execution
• Develop contingency plans
• Use decision trees and simulation to perform quantitative risk analysis
