Professional Development

This certificate was developed for mechanical engineers, HVAC consultants and contractors, facilities managers, systems administrators, and HVAC installers. This is a specialized study in the design and implementation of HVAC systems, including the use of computer-based tools and controls. 

Seven courses complete the certificate as outlined below or students may elect to enroll in an individual course. Many students take multiple courses in the same quarter, enabling them to complete their certificate in about one year.

HVAC Temperature Controls and Systems Design (ME 5301)
Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing HVAC Systems/Air and Water (ME 5206)
Mechanical Cost Estimating and Bidding (ME 5182)

 

Note: You may apply two courses to another Building, Construction, and Architecture Certificate.
