Spring Courses
request information

Summer Session at Northeastern University’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies offers flexibility, convenience, and rich academic rewards. Our broad selection of courses meets the needs of all students—high school students looking to take college-level classes; foreign language speakers looking for intensive English language programs; or college students looking to transfer credits to another institution. Whatever your situation, you’ll find it’s easy to take the courses that you need. We provide the ideal place for summer and part-time study.

Summer Session classes will be offered both online and on ground Northeastern University’s campus locations in and around the city of Boston. In the heart of the city, classes can be taken at the University’s main campus on Huntington Avenue or at the satellite campus in the Financial District. Looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of city life? Try a class in Burlington’s suburban setting.

Northeastern University students have ready access to Boston’s cultural and entertainment resources from the University’s main 67-acre campus. Featuring expanses of green and great views of Boston, the University’s home along Boston’s Avenue of the Arts is located near the green and orange lines of the city’s mass transit system (the “T”), as well as the commuter rail and a number of bus routes. In addition to city life, Boston is home to many universities, each of which has its own vibrant student scene. The nearby Back Bay neighborhood features classic brownstone apartments, the famed Hatch Shell concert venue, and a wide array of shops and restaurants. Another lively student neighborhood is just across the river in Cambridge’s Harvard Square.

Northeastern University students come to the main campus for the state-of-the-art educational and recreational conveniences. The hub of on-campus student life is located at the Curry Student Center, which houses the food court and bookstore. The Snell Library, with a cyber café on the ground floor, is the heard of our academic and research work, and is part of the University’s comprehensive library system. The University’s recreational facilities include the Marino Recreation Center, and the Rosen SquashBusters Facility. If students would like to relax outdoors, Northeastern’s city campus provides several greenways like the spacious Centennial Common. Students have many options whether they want to eat, study, work out, or just hang out.

We hope that you will join our summer community and experience all that Northeastern and Boston have to offer.
