A unique program focused on building the professional capacity of the workforce development field.
Graduate Certificate in Workforce Development
Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Workforce Development is a result of a collaboration between the School of Professional and Continuing Studies and the Commonwealth Workforce Coalition (CWC). The CWC is a network of community-based workforce development practitioners working to strengthen the capacity of Massachusetts’ community-based education, training, and employment system.

The certificate program addresses the demonstrated need for graduate-level education in this field and meets the needs of both workforce development professionals wishing to advance their careers and career changers. Covering a broad range of topics, this certificate is designed to prepare students for decision making positions in the workforce development industry.

Credits earned for the completed graduate certificate may also be applied to the Master of Education (MEd) program offered by the School of Education, as well as the Master of Science in Nonprofit Management and Master of Science in Leadership programs offered by the School of Professional and Continuing Studies.

The program will launch in the fall. Applications are now being accepted for classes beginning September 15, 2008.
